RITAM GRADA RHYTHM OF THE CITY

DOM OMLADINE YOUTH CENTRE

Concerts form just part of the programme that’s been insisted on by Belgrade’s Dom Omladine youth centre since 1964. Howev- er, it is perhaps the most attractive element. Dom Omladine has three concerts halls – the Great Hall, which in recent times has on- ly hosted all-seated concerts; the Americana Hall, which is a mod- ern-equipped hall that hosts rock and pop concerts worth re- membering, and Club DOB, where many bands had their rst performances. During the summer season, the programme spills onto the streets – Concerts on the little wall of young bands re- sound around the city centre every Saturday.

CETINJSKA

The complex of clubs in the abandoned factory square at 15 Cetinjska Street has plenty of room for rock ‘n’ roll, but the most attractive con- cert venues among them are the SubBeerni centre and Elektropion- ir. SubBeerni was opened at the end of 2017 as the “largest brewery bar in Serbia”, hidden away in two subterranean tunnels, and quickly turned out to be a great place for exciting concerts of alternative do- mestic bands, and ever more frequently foreign ones too. Elektropion- ir was one of the rst clubs in Cetinjska Street, which sets itself apart precisely due to its attractive concert programme.
