U ponoć 31. decembra na otvorenom uživajte u velikom vatrometu, a gotovo svi restorani i pansioni organizuju pro- vod do zore uz tradicionalna srpska jela i pića i nastupe poznatih muzičara. KOPAONIK A trip to Kopaonik for New Year will provide you with more than you ex- pected. There you can ski down first class, top category trails and try out Nor- dic skiing, but also snowmobiles, while if you’re a novice you’ll find the best ski instructors. Hotel accommodation offers sporting facilities, swimming pools, chil- dren’s play areas, a bowling alley and restaurants, while your kids can have fun with numerous children’s entertain- ers or at discotheques for the youngest. At midnight on 31 st December you can enjoy a huge fireworks display above the mountain, while almost all restau- rants and bars organise parties until dawn, with traditional Serbian cuisine and drinks, and live performances by re- nowned musicians. New Year on the sunny mountain, as Kopaonik is known, provides a great op- portunity to visit the Pančić Mausoleum, dedicated to this most famous Serbian botanist of the 19 th century, or the me- dieval towns of Ras, Maglič and Brevnik. Nearby are also the monasteries of Stu- denica, Žiča and Đurđevi stupovi, as well as the 10 th -century Petrova Church near Novi Pazar, which is the oldest pre- served Christian building in the Balkans.
