of Terminal zone 1 with the forming of a hall for passport and customs control of depart- ing passengers, in the same place that cher- ishes the restored and conserved mural of famous artist Zuko Dzumhur.” These investments have led to the Ter- minal zones T1, T2b and the connecting hall- way shining with a new light, whilst the open- ing up of the view of the facade enabled the airport’s visitors and users to see the air- craft even if they aren’t personally travelling. You will notice that amenities for pas- sengers and visitors don’t end there, but actual continue while they drive away or catch a taxi or public transportation: “To- gether with company Belgrade Roads, we have reconstructed all access roads to the airport – those coming from highway E-75 and Surčin, as well as in front of the Termi- nal – and enabled taxi operators to await passengers in a furbished parking lot,”says Vlaisavljević. In response to positive passenger eval- uations,Vlaisavljević replies:“We constantly strive to boost the level of passenger satis- faction with the services we provide. That’s why this feedback means the most to me, because people see that something is going on here, something is changing, develop- ing, improving. A city like Belgrade deserves a worthy ambassador, and Nikola Tesla Air- port has endeavoured to rise to the chal- lenge in the past five years that I’ve been leading operations.” AT THE CENTRE OF CITY EVENTS Nikola Tesla Airport hosts different cul- tural and sporting events. In June, in co- operation with the Belgrade Marathon company, the first night race – ‘BEG 5K RUNWAY RUN’ – was organised, giv- ing lovers of running the chance to take a peak at the other side of the termi- nal and run three laps around the run- way and taxiways of Belgrade Airport. The National Museum offered travel- lers a chance to see copies of the fa- mous artworks preserved by this recent- ly re-opened cultural institution, and on the date marking the anniversary of the birth of Nikola Tesla in 2017 a new mu- ral dedicated to the celebrated scientist was unveiled and now adorns the wall of the international arrivals hall.
U CENTRU GRADSKIH ZBIVANJA Aerodrom Nikola Tesla domaćin je različitih kulturnih i sportskih manifestacija. Ta- ko je u junu, u saradnji s Beogradskim maratonom, organizovana prva noćna trka BEG 5K RUNWAY RUN, tokom koje su zaljubljenici u trčanje imali prilike da zavire „sa one strane“ Terminala i istrče tri kruga po poletno–sletnoj stazi i rulnim staza- ma beogradske vazdušne luke. Narodni muzej je putnicima upriličio „muzej u ma- lom“, u kojem su izložene reprodukcije značajnih eksponata iz ove nedavno pono- vo otvorene kulturne institucije, a na rođendan Nikole Tesle 2017. godine svečano je otkriven i novi mural s likom proslavljenog naučnika koji krasi zid na međuna- rodnim dolascima.
