Elevate October 2018 | Air Serbia

T he most successful summer season in the history of Belgrade Nikola Tes- la Airport is slowly coming to an end. For the past several months, our pas- sengers have been flying to four continents and 37 countries of Europe, the U.S.A., the Near and Far East, as well as North Africa. Charter flights of national carrier Air Serbia have taken passen- gers to holiday resorts in Greece, Italy, Spain, Tur- key and Egypt. At the beginning of March, af- ter a break of 27 years, direct flights were again established between the capitals of Serbia and Iran, while EasyJet introduced two new routes from Nikola Tesla Airport – to Berlin and Basel. Growth in traffic is what motivates the em- ployees of Nikola Tesla Airport to set the bar high in terms of the quality and diversity of servic- es offered, not only in the area of aircraft han- dling, but throughout the entire passenger expe- rience. For this reason, much has been invested recently in infrastructure and the modernisation of equipment and technology, as well as devel- opment of the commercial offer. Considering that a journey begins long be- fore our passengers board the plane and even before they reach terminals, Nikola Tesla Airport has worked together with Public Enterprise Roads of Serbia to improve the quality of access roads to the airport. Restoration works have so far been carried out on access roads from Highway E-75, the reception area road in front of Terminals 1 and 2, as well as regional road P266 from the di- rection of Vojvodjanska Street. In order to enable passengers to have a comfortable and enjoyable time while waiting to board their flights, Nikola Tesla Airport and company Dufry have introduced numerous new commercial areas. The new Pamaro cafe has been opened in the transit area near gate A6, and its of- fer of hot and cold beverages, juices, fruit salads, sandwiches and croissants will provide you with refreshment prior to your departure. Two new duty free shops, near gates A5 and C5, stocked with traditional duty free goods, will give you access to items that will warm the hearts of your friends and family. In the knowledge that Nikola Tesla Airport is the first point of contact with Serbia for many international passengers, a small exhibition – ar- ranged in cooperation with the National Muse- um of Serbia – has opened between gates C3 and C4, containing replicas of famous paintings from the collection of our country’s oldest mu- seum. With the opening of this mini-museum, guests have been offered another memorable experience during their time spent at the Airport. Over the past four years, the number of pas- sengers at Nikola Tesla Airport has increased by more than 50 per cent, according to current sta- tistics, while expectations of between 5.7 and 6 million passengers is set to make this anoth- er record year. Each passenger is motivation to improve, as it is only with you that Nikola Tesla Airport grows.
