VODIMO VAS U RUMUNIJU WE’RE
The greatest attraction of this country is Bran Castle, better known as Dracula’s castle. According to the story, this miraculous 14 th cen- tury building inspired Bram Stoker to write the novel“Dracula”, as the home of a vampire count. However, there is no evidence that mysterious Romanian national hero Count Vlad the Impal- er ever resided here. Nature lovers are fascinated by the Mara- mureș Mountains National Park, an unusual val- ley surrounded by mountains that is reached via a single gorge. There is also the Danube Delta, the second largest river delta in Europe, dotted with lakes, ponds, wetlands and lagoons. It has been included on Unesco’s World Heritage List since 1991. Alongside the Danube here is also the largest rockface sculpture in Europe – the face of Dacia King Decebalus. Completed after a decade of work by 12 climber sculptors, it cost a million dollars. And everyone who sees the Bigar Waterfall will thinks they’re in a fairy tale. Cov- ered with moss in the forests of Anina Mountains, it was classified among the planet’s eight most unique waterfalls in 2013. In Bucharest you’ll be amazed by the parliament building, the sec- ond largest building in the world after the Pen- tagon, the personification of the power of no- torious dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu. You should also see Revolution Square and the Botanical Garden, as well as the unique open-air museum
