Cirih. Prebrodila sam sve uz podršku porodice i prijatelja.
Then I tried volleyball and fell in love with this sport. STEFANA: My dad took me and my sis- ter to our first training session. He wanted to get us off the streets. And that’s how I entered the world of volleyball. For the rest of my life. Which moments were the most difficult and most important in your careers? JOVANA: I’ve been playing in Italy for six years. I spent five years at the Pomi Casalmag- giore club. I remember the year we won the Scu- detto, the national championship, although we lost 2:0 in the semi-finals. That game is price- less and I’ll never forget it. I also remember the semi-final against America at the Rio Olympics. There were also difficult moments, when I was younger, in puberty. I considered giving up vol- leyball because I couldn’t stand the pressure. But my parents didn’t let me. It’s thanks to them that I’m where I am today. TIJANA: My first year playing abroad was the hardest, when I went from Užice to Zurich. I found it hard being away from family, with a new language, culture, volleyball at the high- est level. But I was lucky that there were lots of people from Serbia and the Balkans who helped me to get accustomed to it. STEFANA: The year 2011 was a great bat- tle, when I didn’t play in the European Cham- pionship due to thyroid gland problems. That problem was serious and caused chaos in my body. I lost 10 kilos. In Belgrade they couldn’t find a cause, so my doctors in Italy diagnosed me with increased hormone secretion. I start- ed therapy then and I take tablets that I’ll take for the rest of my life. I was even on the brink of giving volleyball up, but things were a lot easi- er after they established the diagnosis. I’ve over- come everything with the support of my family and friends. And the turning point was playing in Poland and the Rio Olympics. How do you spend your spare time; what do you enjoy that isn’t volleyball? TIJANA: I will say what Jovana’s like [laughs]. She’s a person who really likes to do nothing, to drink her espresso, water, possibly freshly squeezed juice, and to sit there enjoying that. She loves her free time when she can devote time

A kakvo je stanje na ljubavnom terenu? JOVANA: Ja sam komplikovana.
