MENHATA Ukoliko se plašite visine, zaboravite na ovo mesto, ali ako spadate u one koji pate za dobrim pogledom na njujorške oblakodere i reku, po- trudite se da rezervišete sto u tek otvorenom restoranu Menhata po- znatog restorandžije Denija Mejera. Bez sumnje, prva stvar koju ćete primetiti u prostranoj sali za ručavanje iza ogromanog bara od grani- ta jeste pogled na most – Menhetn, Bruklin i Ist River, koji ostavlja bez daha. Naravno, ni proverena kuhinja šefa Džejsona Fajfera, koji je radio u legendarnim restoranima poput Nome u Danskoj, čuvenom Per Se ,

TAIYAKI NYC Ice cream in a cornett and the shape of a fish or a multicoloured unicorn? No, we’re not kidding. This is about one of the best Japanese dessert ex- periences in New York, as evidenced by the con- stant queues in front of the parlour in Chinatown. This ice cream shop, which opened in Manhat- tan’s popular Chinatown area several years ago, is inspired by the spirit of Asia and travels to Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea. Its owners, the young Jimmy and Ricky, introduced a lot of love, faith and memories into this little place, which – besides this Manhattan location – has new out- lets in Brooklyn and Miami’s Art District. Their ice creams are sourced from the best producers, while the flavours are inspired by Japan and in- cluded matcha green tea, sesame, vanilla etc. If a cornett of ice cream isn’t enough for you, be sure to sample the Japanese waffle shaped like a fish, which has a soft interior and is crispy on the out- side. MANHATTA If you’re afraid of heights, forget about this place. However, if you’re among those who yearn for a good view of New York’s sky- scrapers and rivers, try to book a table at the newly opened Manhatta restaurant of fa- mous restaurateur Danny Meyer. There’s no doubt that the first thing you’ll notice in this spacious dining hall behind the huge gran- ite bar is the view of the bridge - Manhattan, Brooklyn and the East River, which will leave you breathless. Of course, the tried and test- ed cuisine of chef Jason Pfeiffer, who previ- ously worked at legendary restaurants like Noma in Denmark and the renowned Per Se, will not leave you feeling indifferent.
