RITAM GRADA RHYTHM OF THE TOWN

The jubilee 50 th edition of the Belgrade Music Festival (BEMUS) has been devised as a com- pendium of the most important programme segments that have comprised the contents of this event throughout its history: from “classics” of the symphony, opera, soloist and chamber repertoire – with the participation of the world’s greatest stars of music – via origi- nal folk music, the presenting of talented mu- sicians from the youngest generation, to the present juncture and crossovers with other music genres. The opening of the festival will see violinist Nigel Kennedy introduce a new programme that represents an homage to great jazz musician George Gershwin.
