ir Serbia has announced plans to launch a four-per-week service to Venice as part of a wider network opti- mization strategy. The non-stop service was an- nounced at the International Tourism Fair in Belgrade during February. Set to launch on 1 June, the flight will be operated to Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) on an ATR 72-series aircraft, pro- viding up to 560 return seats between Belgrade and the Italian city each week. The “City of Bridges”, Venice is re- nowned for its picturesque canals and bridges, which number in the hun- dreds. It will be the third destination served by Air Serbia in Italy after Mi- lan and Rome. The flights have been scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, Thurs- day and Sunday and will take approxi- mately two hours. Dane Kondić, Chief Executive Of- ficer of Air Serbia, said: “We are excit- ed to begin flying to Venice this sum- mer, linking Belgrade to a city visited by millions every year for its fascinating ar- chitecture and culture. Our four-weekly service will provide business and leisure travellers with multiple travel options to the Serbian capital, as well quick connec- tions over Belgrade to Southeast Europe and the Middle East. In addition, more than 55 per cent of the Serbian diaspora in Italy, estimated at up to 70,000 peo- ple, live in the catchment area of Ven- ice Marco Polo Airport, and will benefit from this new air link to Serbia. We have established a solid presence in the Ital- ian market and will work with our tour- ism and trade partners, including Alita- lia and Etihad Airways, to make the new service a success.”

Do venecijanskog Aerodroma Mar- ko Polo (VCE) svake nedelje leteće avion ATR72 sa ukupno 560 sedišta u oba smera. Grad mostova, kako zovu Vene- ciju jer se nalazi na stotinu kanala, biće, osim Milana i Rima, treća itali- janska destinacija do koje Er Srbija leti, a letovi su zakazani za ponede- ljak, utorak, četvrtak i nedelju. Sam let do Venecije trajaće oko dva sata. – Veoma se radujemo što ćemo ovog leta leteti za Veneciju i tako po- vezati Beograd sa gradom koji zbog njegove bogate arhitekture i kulture svake godine posećuju milioni turista. Naši letovi četiri puta nedeljno pruži- će poslovnim i turističkim putnicima lako povezivanje sa srpskom presto- nicom, ali i sa južnom Evropom, kao i Bliskim istokom preko Beograda – rekao je ovim povodom Dane Kondić, generalni direktor Er Srbije , i dodao: – Više od 55 procenata srpske di- jaspore koja živi u Italji stacionirano je baš u oblasti koju pokriva veneci- janski Aerodrom Marko Polo . Radi se o oko 70.000 ljudi, koji će imati veliku korist od ove nove vazduhoplovne ve- ze sa Srbijom. Naša prisutnost na itali- janskom tržištu je značajna, a planira- mo saradnju sa turističkim i poslovnim partnerima, uključujući Alitaliju i Eti- had ervejz , kako bismo osigurali uspeh nove linije – naglasio je Kondić.

O d početka marta do kraja maja putnici Er Srbi- je mogu očekivati nov jelovnik na kojem će se naći jela koja sa velikom pažnjom priprema Er Srbija Ketering (ESK). Puniša Zdravković, direktor ESK, ka- že da je imperativ u izradi prolećnog menija, kao i do sada, zadovoljstvo putnika. Na jelovniku za biznis klasu se, između ostalog, iz- dvaja jagnjeći odrezak sa pire krompirom i spanaćem serviran uz ljutkasti sos od bibera, dok je u ekonomskoj klasi, uz mnoga druga jela, specijalitet goveđe pečenje. F rom early March to late May guests can look for- ward to a refreshed onboard menu that features new dishes lovingly prepared by Air Serbia Catering. Puniša Zdravković, General Manager at ASC, says the main drive behind the new menu was, as always, to en- hance the guest experience. Highlights of the new menu include lamb chops with mashed potatoes and spinach served with a spicy pepper sauce in Business, and a beef roast in Economy, among many others.
