YEAR OF SUSTAINED GROWTH FOR ETIHAD AIRWAYS GODINA ODRŽIVOG RASTA ETIHADA

E tihad ervejz je 2016. zabeležio još jednu godinu održivog ra- sta, zahvaljujući novim avionima, dodatnim frekvencijama i uvođenjem unapređenih proizvoda svetske klase. Avio-kompanija je prevezla 18,5 miliona gostiju, šest odsto više u odnosu na 2015. Etihad je deo Etihad evijeišn grupe (EAG), kompanije koja se ba- vi komercijalnim avio-prevozništvom i turizmom, a koja sada uk- ljučuje Etihad ervejz inženjering i partnere u kojima Etihad ima vlasnički udeo, Etihadove aerodromske usluge i Hala grupu . Eti- had je obavio više od 109.000 putničkih i kargo letova, preletev- ši oko 446 miliona kilometara na 112 linija. Broj sedišta povećan je za devet odsto, a broj putnika za osam odsto. Faktor popunje- nosti putničke kabine održan je na istom nivou i iznosio je 79 odsto. Džejms Hogan, predsednik i glavni izvršni direktor EAG, rekao je tim povodom: „U veoma teškom poslovnom okruženju tokom 2016. godine postigli smo održivi rast kompanije. Kvalitet našeg proizvoda i vrhunska usluga još jednom su pokazali svoje pra- ve vrednosti uz snagu novog EAG poslovnog modela, koji je do- neo raznolikost naše kompanije i isplativu sinergiju uprkos glo- balnim rizicima na tržištu. Mislim da je to i najvažnije, da smo u prošloj godini oformili i predstavili novu strukturu naše grupe obezbedivši dugoročni rast i razvoj EAG kompanije.”

E tihad Airways delivered another year of sustained growth in 2016, helped by new aircraft, additional fre- quencies and the introduction of further world-class products. The airline carried 18.5 million guests, up six per cent on 2015. The airline was also part of the evolution of Etihad Aviation Group, a wider aviation and tourism business which now al- so includes Etihad Airways Engineering; Airline Equity Part- ners; Etihad Airport Services and Hala Group. Etihad Airways operated more than 109,000 passenger and cargo flights, around 446 million kilometres and 112 destinations. Capaci- ty grew by nine per cent and passenger traffic rose by eight per cent. The average load factor held steady at 79 per cent. James Hogan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Eti- had Aviation Group (EAG), said: “2016 saw sustained growth in a very tough business environment. This is where Eti- had Airways’ superior products and services show their true value and where the strength of the EAG business model comes into effect through its diversity of businesses, cost ef- fective synergies and global spread of risk. Most important- ly, in 2016 we were able to introduce our new Group struc- ture, which positions this business for long-term growth and development.”
