P oznat je kao Kapija sveta, kao grad sa više mostova nego Venecija i Amster- dam zajedno, kao luka iz koje su u svet zvezda ispolovili Bitl- si , kao rodno mesto hamburgera... Ali već 10 godina Hamburg ima atrakciju kakvu nijedan drugi grad na svetu nema – Minijaturnu Ze- mlju čuda (Miniatur Wunderland). Sve je počelo pre 17 godina, kada je blizancima Geritu i Fre- deriku Braunu sinula ideja da na- prave model najveće svetske žele- znice. Niko im nije verovao, niko nije hteo to da finansira. „Ko će to posetiti“, govorili su. I t is known as the Gateway to the World, as a city that has more bridg- es than Venice and Amsterdam com- bined, as the port from which the Beatles embarked on their journey to the world of stardom, as the birthplace of the hamburger... However, for the last 10 years Hamburg has had any attrac- tion unlike any other city in the world – a miniature world of wonders (Min- iatur Wunderland). It all started 17 years ago, when twins Frederik and Gerrit Braun came up with the idea of creating the world’s biggest model railway. Nobody believed them and nobody wanted to finance the project. “Who will visit it?”, they asked.
