RITAM GRADA RHYTHM OF THE CITY

DEDE I NICAN MINC, , FRUŠKOGORSKA DEDE BANDAID & NITZAN MINTZ 2018, FRUŠKOGORSKA 3

This artistic duo from Israel came to Belgrade for the Days of Israe- li Culture event, in the scope of which they created artworks at the Ciglane complex. However, they suddenly decided that this wasn’t enough for a city that they fell in love with at rst sight. Dede Bandaid painted the symbol of Belgrade – spar- rows, on the corner of a build- ing at the periphery of the Konsančić’s Wreath neighbourhood, while

Nitzan Mintz gave her contribution as a poet, incorporat-

ing her poetry into the core of the mural. These sparrows are made of scrap and old wooden slats, while the words of the poem integrate everything into one. Thus, our spar- rows resist, advance and y regard- less of what they are made from. This is quite an adequate parallel to Belgrade, a city that survives and advances despite everything.
