What is your favourite performance to date? - We had crazy performances (if we con- sider the reaction of the audience) on stages in clubs and festivals around the world. At the Fuji Rock Festival (Japan), for instance, sev- eral thousand people danced in the heavy rain, wearing raincoats of all colours. That was a great performance. But it’s really hard to pick just one favourite. You travel a lot. Could you describe life on tour? - Hotels, getting up early, planes, bus- es, more buses, sound checks, short naps during the day, meeting nice hosts, getting nice local food, waiting backstage... A lot of things happen before you play your set on stage. The whole day is planned around that moment when you must be focused. Even if I’m tired after all those touring days, it’s always motivating, as being on stage is such fun. You have already played in Serbia. What were your impressions? - We played in Belgrade and Niš. Both were really nice shows with great audienc- es. We’re looking forward to playing in Bel- grade again. The Musicology Barcaffè Sessions, the series of concerts within which you are to perform, has the mission of recon- necting performers with their fans, which is why the venue is a club and the atmosphere is more intimate. What do you think about this? - A club and an intimate atmosphere is always a good environment for a show. We definitely enjoy playing in smaller ven- ues or clubs. What are you working on right now and what can we expect to hear at the concert? - We’re currently working on our new album, which will be released next year. You will hear a great mix of songs and remix- es that we made during recent years: slow and mellow tracks, as well as up-tempo elec- tronic ones. Do you have a message for young, struggling artists? - Always be self-critical and think about what you can improve upon and do better. Of course, it’s also important to be convinced of what you’re doing, but it’s important to be able to shift to a different perspective in or- der to understand why people react to your music or don’t. We never stop being critical of ourselves. That has been part of our cre- ative process for decades. Could you invite people to the concert with song lyrics? - Let’s “get together and celebrate”! To use a line from our song “I human”, which we will also perform.
Stižu u Beograd 12. i 13.
They come to Belgrade on 12 th and 13 th December, as the fourth performers in the Musicology decembra, kao četvrti izvođač i koncertnog serijala Musicology Barcaffe Sessions
Definitiv- no uživamo u svirkama na manjim me- stima ili u klubovima.
– Nastupali smo u Beogradu i Ni- šu. U oba grada naišli smo na sjajnu i brojnu publiku. Radujemo se ponov- nom susretu u Beogradu.
