cause this time the royal baby wasn’t held by the mother, but rather the father, while Meghan proudly showed her still conspicuous stomach, which brought her praise from other women. The question that followed was - why Archie in par- ticular, or more specically why Archie Harrison Mountbat- ten-Windsor? A nickname derived from the name Arthur was the least expected choice of these otherwise mysteri- ous parents, who didn’t want to satisfy the curiosity of the world public until the time was right for them to reveal the name of their heir. It turned out that the boy was named after Major Tom Archer-Burton, Harry’s mentor in the ar- my, who sent him to Afghanistan and gave him a chance to serve his country. The middle name Harrison is associat- ed with his father’s name, as in“Harry’s son”. Again, on the other side, the names of the eldest son of Prince Charles and Princess Diana are related to their pre- decessors in the British monarchy. George Alexander Louis (6) is named after King George VI, Lord Louis Mountbatten, the mentor of Prince Charles, and, according to many, af- ter Queen Elizabeth with the middle name Alexander. Lit- tle Charlotte (4) is named after her grandfather, with the fe- male version of his name, while she also carries the name of the grandmother, with whom many compare her, and her grandmother Diana, whose memory her parents preserve with a lot of love. Prince Louis Arthur Charles is named af- ter Lord Louis Mountbatten, the last viceroy of India before the country gained independence. His middle name is his grandfather’s name, and the reason for his third name is ob- vious – it is a dedication to the Prince of Wales. Another dilemma regarding Prince Archie, who – at 3.2 kilograms – is the smallest in the circle of the immediate fam- ily, is the issue of his title. He could have assumed the title of the Earl of Dumbarton, which is one of his father’s aux- iliary titles. However, since his name was announced with- out these additions, it is assumed that Meghan and Harry will choose a“normal”life for their son, without a title. Time will tell whether that will change and whether Archie will become an earl (if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have more children, they will carry the title of Lord or Lady). The current most popular boy in the world could also become a titled prince if Queen Elizabeth II presents him with this title. And the queen is giving when it comes to granting ti- tles. Recall that in 2013, due to her great-granddaughter Charlotte, she changed the decree of King George VI and granted female descendants of the dynasty the title of the princess, as well as equality in the order of succession to the throne. That was an historic decision, thanks to which Char- lotte took fourth place in line to inherit the crown - George is third, Louis is fth, Archie is seventh, immediately behind his father Harry (Prince Charles is rst, followed by William). Although they perhaps would like some kind of nor- mal, civilian life for their son, Harry and Meghan will not be able to stop Archie’s inuence, especially when it comes to tourism and the British economy. Leading in this so far is Charlotte, whose annual contribution, according to some information, amounts to an incredible $5 billion. That’s more than contribution to the UK economy of her older brother, George, who has“banked”$3.6 billion, while for Louis, Wil- liam’s youngest, that gure is still being calculated. Judging by the popularity and pomp prompted by Meghan and Har- ry, there is no doubt that Archie will be a reason for many to visit Buckingham, Kensington and other royal palaces of the United Kingdom.
