Eleven years after the release of the second film, the team of TV series Sex and the City returns to small screens this month, with a slightly different cast, but in the same good, old place. New York, New York! MINI TOUR OF PLACES FAMILIAR TO US FROM THE SERIES And just like that... We return to New York K im Cattrall, who portrayed the character of Samantha Jones in the series and films, opted not to reprise her role in the contin- uation of the story, entitled “And Just Like That”, but the producers decided that Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York-Gold- enblatt should nonetheless receive reinforcements. As such, actresses Nicole Ari Parker, Sarita Choudhury, Ka- ren Pittman and Sara Ramirez play new female char- acters who hail from different walks of life, and thus the series opens the door to the younger generations who’ve matured since the time of the series’ original six seasons (1998-2004) and two films (2008-1010). When it comes to male characters, the main cast will include Big, Steve and Harry, but also Anthony and Stanford. This also happened to be the last role in this life for William Garson, who played Stanford, because he passed away just before filming ended, though pro- ducers confirmed that he shot all his scenes. The ac- tual plot, as well as the fate of Samantha's character, remain unknown, and that will probably be the case until the premiere. New York still represents the epicentre of events. It might have changed somewhat following the pandem- ic, but it is no less glamorous and inspiring when its streets are strutted by the latest pair of Manolo Blah- nik shoes, which have long been synonymous with Carrie Bradshaw and her rushing around the clock in the city that never sleeps. The years have played their part, with fashion and the whole world having changed, and even New York itself, but the girls will still spend most of their time in Manhattan. So, let's take a stroll around some of the places made famous by this se- ries, even among those who’ve never been to the Big Apple before…
MALA TURA PO MESTIMA KOJA POZNAJEMO IZ SERIJE
I tek tako... Vraćamo se u Njujork Jedanaest godina nakon drugog filma, ekipa serije Seks i grad se ovog meseca vraća na male ekrane u nešto drugačijem sastavu, ali na starom, dobrom mestu. Njujork, Njujork! K im Katral, koja je u seriji i filmovima tu- mačila lik Samante Džons, odlučila je da u nastavku priče And Just Like That ne reprizira svoju ulogu, ali su producenti odlučili da Keri Bredšo, Miranda Hobs i Šarlot Jork Goldenblat ipak dobiju pojačanje. Glu- mice Nikol Ari Parker, Sarita Čuduri, Karen Pitman i Sara Ramirez tumače nove ženske likove iz različitih sfera života, pa tako serija otvara vrata mlađim ge- neracijama koje su stasavale nakon originalnih šest sezona serije (1998–2004) i dva filma (2008–1010). Od muških likova u glavnoj postavi će se naći Zver- ka, Stiv, Hari, kao i Entoni i Stenford. Viliju Garsonu, glumcu koji tumači lik Stenforda, to je ujedno i po- slednja uloga, jer je preminuo neposredno pred kraj snimanja, ali je, kako navode producenti, snimio sve svoje scene. Konkretna radnja, kao i sudbina Saman- te, i dalje su nepoznati, a tako će verovatno i ostati do same premijere. Njujork je i dalje epicentar zbivanja, nešto dru- gačiji nakon pandemije, ali ništa manje glamurozan i inspirativan, kada se njegovim ulicama prošeta naj- noviji par Manolo Blanik cipela, koje su postale sino- nim za Keri Bredšo i njeno danonoćno jurcanje po gra- du koji ne spava. Godine su učinile svoje, moda i ceo svet su se promenili, pa tako i sam Njujork, ali devoj- ke će i dalje najveći deo vremena provoditi na Men- hetnu. Zato hajde da prošetamo mestima koja je ova serija učinila tako poznatim, čak i ako do sada niste bili u Velikoj jabuci…
Od potvrđenih modnih dizajnera tu su Karolina Herera, Klod Montana, Norma Kamal i Dris van Noten, kao i lokalni dizajneri odeće i nakita, jer je ekipa serije želela neka nova imena Among established fashion designers, there are Carolina Herrera, Claude Montana, Norma Kamali and Dries Van Noten, but also local designers of clothing and jewellery, because the team behind the series wanted some new names
