I sada, kada u Google pretraži- vač ukucate Palić film festival, po- javi se link na kome piše European film festival. Palić se i zaista pretva- ra u Evropu u malom kada se u toj, uglavnom pretposlednjoj nedelji ju- la, koja je opet uglavnom vrela, čak i kad sunce konačno zađe, sjate filmski delatnici iz svih krajeva. Oni donose filmove, ali donose i svoja iskustva. Naravno, donose i mnogo pozitiv- ne energije. A kako i ne bi kada se sva centralna festivalska dešavanja odvijaju ciklično, između Male go- stione u kojoj se i radi ali i dobro je- de, te Velike terase, na čijoj obnovi je dugo rađeno kako bi bila u funkci- ji i službi festivala, Ženskog štranda, gde se pije kafa tik uz jezero i vode žestoke diskusije o filmu, do Letnje pozornice tog bajkovitog mesta na otvorenom, u kome i drvene klupe postaju udobne dok se čeka da sun- ce zađe kako bi se odvili prvi kadro- vi filma. Za projekcijom prvog filma sledi drugi film. A onda – žurka! Ur- bani i lokalni bendovi, koji zabavljaju goste na obližnjim lokacijama, ma- hom u Jedriličarskom klubu, znaju ponekad da produže svirku i do ra- nih jutarnjih sati… I u tom ritmu te- če svaki festivalski dan. Tako će, po svemu sudeći, biti i ove godine, tokom 24. izdanja festi- vala, koje će biti održano od 15. do 21. jula na više lokacija u okolini jezera. U fokusu je hrvatska kinematogra- fija. Kao i ranije, biće dodeljene dve nagrade Aleksandar Lifka – jednom evropskom i jednom našem delatni- ku u oblasti filma, za doprinos umet- nosti filma u Evropi. Dva centralna programa – glavni takmičarski i Pa- ralele i sudari , ponovo će ukazati na tačke spajanja i razdvajanja u Evro- pi danas, kao i brojni drugi prateći. I, što je najvažnije, pokazaće hrabrost evropskih filmskih delat- nika, nepristajanje na kompromise i istrajnost u borbi za umetnost filma i emancipaciju i obnavljanje kritičke svesti. Za četvrt veka postojanja, Pa- lićki filmski festival je dokazao da ta- kva istrajnost ima dubokog smisla.

from all over. They bring films, but also their experiences. Of course, they bring a lot of positive energy too. And how could they not, when all the festival’s central events take place in a cyclical circle between the Small Guesthouse, where they work but al- so eat well, and the Grand Terrace, the re- construction of which was carried out for a long time in order for it to be functional and at the service of the festival, the Wom- en’s Beach, where they have coffee next to the lake and engage in heated discussions about film, to the Summer Stage, that fairy- tale open-air venue, where wooden bench- es become comfortable while we await the last rays of daylight to disappear, in order for the first frames of a film to unroll. Af- ter the screening of the first film, a second follows. And then – a party! The urban and local bands that entertain guests at near- by locations, mostly in the Sailing Club, are sometimes known to continue playing un- til the early morning... And every day of the festival unfolds in that rhythm.
That, in all probability, will also be the case this year too, during the 24 th edition of the festival that will take place from 15 th to 21 st July in several locations around the lake. In focus this year is Croatian cine- matography. And, as before, two Aleksan- dar Lifka Prizes will be awarded - one for Europeans and one for our own activists in the field of film, for their contributions to the art of film in Europe. The two cen- tral programmes –“The main competitive programme” and “Parallels and Encoun- ters”, will again highlight points of merger and separation in Europe today, as well as numerous other supporting programmes. And, most importantly, it will show the courage of European film enthusiasts in refusing to compromise, to persevere in their struggle for the art of film, and it will also show the emancipation and res- toration of critical consciousness. During the quarter of a century of its existence, the Palić Film Festival has proved that such perseverance has a profound meaning.
