KAD JE NA POTEZU PILOT, A KAD AUTOPILOT? WHEN IS THE PILOT IN CONTROL AND WHEN IS THAT LEFT TO THE AUTO-PILOT? A A

utopilot nikada ne može da zameni pilota. Radi se o pomoćnom sredstvu koje smanjuje radno optereće- nje posade kako bi mogla da sagleda sve aspekte leta. Autopilot preuzima dužnost onog trenutka kad ga posada aktivira, što se obično dešava nakon poletanja. Ne može sam da se uključi niti da se isključi, osim ako ne dođe do kvara sistema. Prilikom uključivanja autopi- lota ne dolazi do promena u režimu leta, tako da putni- ci ne primećuju nikakvu razliku. Mnogi mešaju oznaku za odvezivanje pojasava sa aktiviranjem autopilota. Me- đutim, ta oznaka nije povezana sa autopilotom, nego sa uslovima i fazom leta. Važno je reći da je automatika veoma zastupljena u avio-indrustriji, uticala je na značajno poboljšanje bez- bednosti u avio-saobraćaju. U ekstremnim situacijama, kada pilot pogreši, avion je zahvaljujući automatici spo- soban da detektuje greške i da ih ispravi ili da upozori posadu na određenu situaciju. Autopilot nije aktivan tokom poletanja, ali se kori- sti za sletanje u uslovima smanjenje vidljivosti, što omo- gućava sletanje i onda kada je vidljivost samo 75 meta- ra. Prilikom sletanja autopilot je programiran da spusti avion i da ga zaustavi. Naravno, posada je odgovorna za programiranje svih parametara, kao i za konstantan nad- zor svih funkcija autopilota.

utopilot can never replace the pilot. It is an assistance mechanism that reduces the workload of the crew, ena- bling them to monitor all aspects of the flight. The autopilot takes control from the moment the crew activates it, which usually happens after take-off. It cannot switch itself on or off, unless there is a malfunction in the sys- tem. Turning on the autopilot does not result in any changes in the flight, so passengers don’t notice any difference. Many confuse the deactivating of the fasten seatbelts sign with the activating of the autopilot. However, that is not connected to the autopilot, rather to the conditions and stage of flight. It is important to note that automation is very present in the aerospace industry and has had a significant impact on improving air traffic safety. In some extreme situations, when a pilot makes a mistake the plane is, thanks to automation, ca- pable of detecting and correcting errors, or alerting the crew to a particular situation. Autopilot is not active during take-off, but is used for landing in conditions of reduced visibility, which enables land- ing even when visibility is only 75m. During landing, the auto- pilot is programmed to control the plane’s descent and to stop it. Of course, the crew is responsible for programming all pa- rameters, as well as constantly monitoring all functions of the autopilot.
