I knew that the Danes are among the world’s richest nations and are almost the happiest on the planet. I was real- ly interested in why they are so happy, but we’ll address that a bit later. that the wealth they possess couldn’t be seen anywhere. It’s not like I was expect- ing golden lions, but I remained stunned by the modesty and simplicity of the city and its people. No matter how clean Copenhagen re- ally is, no one can say it is sterile. On the contrary, it is lively and warm, painted in every colour.
