U nique not only in Serbia, this museum has existed since 2013, though its owner – academic painter Jovana Pop- ović Benišek – came into possession of Jasna Novak’s impressive collection in the late 1990s. As a result of this painter’s two decades of work, and continuation of the pas- sion for collecting, this museum today contains around 35,000 matches and stickers from around the entire world. There are Italian packages decorated with reproductions of the pictures of world-renowned artists, a masterpiece of Japanese patience made on onionskin and silk, French matches with spicy motifs and performances. As such, this rich collection testies to the way fashion, design and society have evolved over the past 170 years.
