RIGI PERFECT WINTER DAY
The Titlis Glacier – the only glacier in the region – is a popular excursion destination year-round. With the panorama of the surrounding mountains simply breath- taking, the Ice Flyer chairlift sweeps guests smooth- ly and safely over the imposing glacier, treating them to spectacular aerial views. Those who do not have a head for heights can inspect the mass of ice at close quarters from down below: the glacier cave, made up of millions of tiny, sparkling ice crystals, is located 20 metres below the surface of the glacier. During winter, Mount Titlis is regarded as the skiing and snowboard- ing paradise of Central Switzerland. The longest down- hill run is 12 km long and covers an altitude difference of 2,000 metres. An additional 80 km of slopes offer plenty of fun and variety. Another highlight of the area is the spectacular Titlis Cliff Walk suspension bridge, at 3,041 metres above sea level. This bridge is 100 metres long and can be crossed in approximately 150 steps. The walk across the bridge is free and is guaranteed to get your pulse racing.
