fleet. He flew that plane from New York to Belgrade on 19 th May 1970. That moment, with the development of long-distance trans- port, ushered in the most successful period in the history of JAT. This meant that Avramović’s meeting with Davor Mišeljić was filled with symbol- ism, given that it was 46 years later that Captain Mišeljić, on 11 th May 2016, brought to Belgrade the Airbus A330 as the first plane in the fleet for intercontinental traf- fic, which enabled the re-establishing of the Belgrade-New York line. “I am thrilled and proud that Air Serbia is again taking a big step forward. Relatives can now easily visit their loved ones in the U.S. Businesspeo- ple have access to new markets where they can expand their operations, while tourists discover every day what it is that make Bel- grade and New York such special cities – said CEO Kondić. Air Serbia has exerted great efforts to provide the best possible transatlantic trav- el experience, with business class seats that can be fully reclined, a selection of dishes that represent the best Serbian cuisine and individual in-flight entertainment systems with a rich selection of films, TV shows and music in Serbian and English.
