Hajlajn je dug 2,33 kilometra, prostire se od Gensvurt ulice do Zapadne trideset četvrte, između Desete i Jedanaeste avenije. Trenutno je najpopularnija staza za šetnju i prilično kul način da sagledate deo Menhetna The High Line is 2.33 kilometres long and stretches from Gansevoort Street to West 34 th , between Tenth and Eleventh avenues. It is the most popular walkway and a rather cool way to see this part of Manhattan

During the course of a year more than 20 million people walk along this path. The view is superb, and on the track it- self you will enjoy trees and interesting plants, even though only 45.72cm of soil were laid. It can happen that you trip on an old railway sleeper left as testimony of a bygone time. On numerous benches you will come across many New Yorkers meditating, reading books or just think- ing about life while looking at heavy traf- fic from a height. If we had to find a flaw, it would be the fact that pets are not al- lowed to walk there. Each year, the Friends of the High Line organises over 450 different events, rang- ing from various bazaars, through salsa parties to children’s programmes. And beneath the High Line, not far from the entrance of 16 th Street, you can still eat at Hector’s Diner, which features in scenes in the cult movie Taxi Driver and TV series Law & Order. Today Hector’s Diner is surrounded by chic boutiques and fancy restaurants, though it used to open at two o’clock in the morning for workers finish- ing their shifts in the famous Meatpack- ing District. Although the original owner died long ago, Hector’s Diner is still one of the most popular places in the city. Just like High Line.
