CARNIVAL IN HONOUR OF THE KING The King’s Day festival in the capital of the Netherlands celebrates the birthday of King Willem-Alexander. The one-day celebration sees local residents and tourists traditionally dress in orange from head to toe, in honour of the Dutch royal family. Undertakings usually commence on the evening before King’s Day, which is held on 27 th April. The city’s canals are full of boats of different colours throughout the entire day or even for a week. King’s Day also hosts the world’s largest flea markets. Here everyone, from young to old, trades in second-hand goods, while on the streets you can really feel the proper cheerful spirit of Amsterdam. Meštani i turisti oblače se tradicio- nalno u narandžastu boju od glave do pete u čast kraljevske holandske porodice. Do- gađaji obično započinju noć uoči Dana kra- lja, koji se održava 27. aprila, Kanali su pu- ni čamaca različitih boja tokom celog dana ili čak nedelje. Kraljev dan takođe je vreme najveć ih buvljaka na svetu. Svi, mladi i sta- ri, trguju polovnom robom i na ulicama zai- sta možete da osetite pravi, veseli duh Am- sterdama.
Rim nije sagrađen za jedan dan, ali ka- da su počeli da grade Rim? Ako je legen- da tačna, prvi kamen u Rimu postavljen je 21. aprila 753. p.n.e. Rođendan Rima i dalje se slavi na veličanstven način: isko- ristite jednom u životu priliku da slavite Večni grad i uživate u posebnoj atmosfe- ri. U aprilu nemojte propustiti ni Španske stepenice, koje povezuju Španski trg sa Crkvom Trinita de Monti. Krase ih stotine vaza rascvetalih azaleja jarkih boja. Divno je proleć e u Rimu!
Jedna od dve poslednje gotovo dovršene slike Gustava Klimta – Dama sa lepezom , bi e izložena u Muzeju Gornji Belvede- re do 13. februara 2022. godine. U okviru prvog dela izložbe bi e prikazana Dama sa lepezom , zajedno sa drugim nedovr- šenim ostvarenjima umetnika, dok je dru- gi deo izložbe posve en uticaju japanske i kineske umetnosti na Klimtova kasni- ja dela. Drugi deo postavke bi e otvoren početkom oktobra. Prema najnovijim sa- znanjima, Dama sa lepezom je poslednji put javno izložena u Beču 1920. godine.

In April you sho- uldn’t miss Rome‘s Spanish Steps, whi- ch link the Piazza di Spagna with the chur- ch of the Santissima Trinità dei Monti. It is adorned with hundreds of vases of bloo- ming, brightly-coloured azaleas. Wonder- ful is spring in Rome!
One of the final two almost-completed paintings of Gustav Klimt, “Lady with Fan”, will be exhibited at Vienna’s Upper Belvedere Museum until 13 th February 2022. Lady with Fan will be exhibited under the scope of the first part of the exhibition, together with other unfinished works by this artist, while the second part of the exhibition is dedicated to the influence of Japanese and Chinese art on Klimt’s later works. The second part of the exhibition will open in early October. According to the latest information, the last time the painting Lady with Fan was exhibited publicly in Vienna was in 1920.
