Ceni Mela Gibsona, Olivera Stouna, Sašu Barona Koena He admires Mel Gibson, Oliver Stone, Sacha Baron Cohen...

His father is a film producer, and for Vo- jvnov film was like every other profession – he didn’t distinguish it any way from any jobs done by the parents of other children. - Still, I learnt from my father that some- one who deals with film must make that their top priority, because it boils down to oppor- tunities that are rarely available and some- thing that is very exclusive by definition. I in- herited my dedication from my father. We mainly have different views regarding oth- er things related to film. He now has a few things planned on paper. With Srđan Spasojević he is prepar- ing the film“2020”, about a Serbia of the near future that is under the occupation of the NATO alliance and a resistance movement seeking to liberate the country. He’s work- ing with Danilo Bećković on the film“TheTri- als of Chul”, an action thriller about a North Korean footballer who comes to play in the Serbian league and his bodyguard, a secret service agent who takes on the local gang- sters who control football. - There are many topics that could pro- vide the basis to shoot interesting films. I’d like Oliver Stone to make a film about Ser- bia. He makes dynamic, exciting films that

are multidimensional and politically provoc- ative. He could ultimately succeed with us. If he doesn’t have the time, then Sacha Bar- on Cohen. There are people who inspired him to decide to work in film. He was influenced by the writing of Dušan Kovačević, the work of Srđan Dragojević, the films of Žika Mitro- vić and Hajrudin Krvavac. He tries to watch one film per day, seeing that as his person- al viewing discipline. - That helps me to keep up-to-date, but also to constantly be in the material, think- ing about film and in the film way. On TV he primarily watches sport, polit- ical shows covering current affairs and Serbi- an drama series. He watches foreign series via the internet. If he was the main character in a film, he’d like for the screenplay to be written by Richard Curtis, who authored Blackadder, Four Weddings and a Funeral and Noting Hill. - I like that film to be directed by Michael Man, the creator of Miami Vice and director of Heat, and for my role to be played by Jo- nah Hill. If those people gathered together for that film, that would mean that I’d achieved something significant in my life. He is known as a respectable film critic

who pulls no punches. That sometimes costs him some co-workers and numerous profes- sional engagements... - That certainly has a cost for me, but in time that somehow sorts itself out. Now those who grew up with my critiques are working with film, and that enduring consideration of film and writing about it has contributed to Serbian cinematography being in a better place than it was. And he actually sees the greatest success of Serbian cinematography in the fact that it survived and remained pretty much in touch with the audience. - Despite the numerous situations in which it has betrayed our society, it has maintained its place in the hierarchy of important cultural currents. It is now also consolidated financial- ly thanks to the help of state aid. There is nev- er enough money, but there is slightly more money than there are good ideas in our coun- try, or at least as much as there are good ideas. For his professionalism, he is primarily grateful to the Belgrade University Faculty of Dramatic Arts. - A big problem is that there are too many schools here, and too many young people who acquire diplomas and also the illusion that a place awaits them in our film industry. Unfor- tunately, the situation is completely the oppo- site. I think young people should always enrol in the Faculty of Dramatic Arts as their first step. If they’re unable to do that, then they should quit – because the subsequent steps are much moredifficult.Thisdoesn’tmeanthatinteresting individuals haven’t emerged private colleges, but most of them haven’t managed to succeed.

I think that actor-director Mel Gibson and I could make something really good. I won’t reveal what this is about for now Mislim da bismo glumac i reditelj Mel Gibson i ja mogli da napravimo nešto zaista dobro. Zasad ne želim da otkrivam o čemu je reč
