Z ovu ga princ soul i džez muzike, italijanski Beri Vajt. On će 2. i 3. oktobra nastu- piti prvo u Beogradu, zatim 6. oktobra održati koncert u Zagrebu, a 7. u Lju- bljani. Osim svojih starih hitova,
T hey call him the Prince of Soul and Jazz; the Italian Barry White. He often responds to that by saying that he adores Barry, but that no one will ever be his equal. His music is a fusion of many genres, the most prominent of which are jazz, soul and funk. Mario Biondi certainly has an unforgettable voice, vel- vety and warm; a voice that has already charmed the Belgrade public several times and will do so again within the framework of the third season of the Musicology Barcaffè Sessions. This popular series of concerts, which fosters high-quality music events in an intimate atmos- phere, will also – alongside Ljubljana – have its Zagreb edition, and the first concert series to en- compass all three countries will include the per- formances of this much-loved Italian singer. He will first perform in Belgrade on 2 nd and 3 rd Oc- tober, then he’ll hold a concert in Zagreb on 6 th October and Ljubljana a day later. Apart from his well-known hits, he’ll also have premiere performances of songs from his new al-

Poslednji put ste bili u Be- ogradu pre dve godine.
cities where I feel at home. The audience al- ways welcomes me with lots of passion and that’s why I can hardly wait for us to meet again. You’ve been very busy in the meantime. Your new album is called Brazil and listening to it makes us feel like we’ve travelled to that faraway country ourselves. Why Brazil spe- cifically? - Brazilian music has always attracted me since I was a boy. I listened to Di Javana and learned to appreciate great classics like Tom Jobim and oth- er Brazilian musicians. That’s a country that’s very similar to my native Sicily, with great contrasts be- tween beauty and poverty but so filled with pas- sion, all of which is reflected in Brazilian music. You recorded the album in Rio de Janeiro. How was that experience? - I’ve been to Brazil numerous times, where I always feel good. Unfortunately, the climate wasn’t kind to us this time, and it was raining for 19 of the
