VIŠE OD MAGAZINA: OD REVIJE DO ELEVEJTA MORE THAN A MAGAZINE: FROM REVIEW TO ELEVATE NASLEĐE / HERITAGE
Tokom godina, Jatova revija je doživela svetsku promociju i afirmaciju, zauzela zapaženo mesto u srp- skom medijskom prostoru i stekla poverenje čitalaca i profesionalni ugled.
In 1974 JAT had transported over two and a half million passengers and the decision was made to launch its own inflight magazine. The first issue of the Review was publis- hed in March 1975. During the first ten years of publishing, JAT Review’s co-publisher was publishing house Jugoslo- venska revija, whose journalists and associates carried out all the work of preparing and publishing the magazine. However, in mid-1984 editorial responsibilities were taken over by a group of journalists from within JAT. From 1988 JAT began publishing the Review completely independen- tly, with a concept that differed markedly from the kind of inflight magazine published by other airlines. Over the years JAT Review enjoyed global promotions and praise, occupying a prominent place on the Serbian media scene and gaining the trust of readers and profes- sional admiration. At the IATA Assembly held in Belgrade in 1990, the Review was included among the world’s best in- flight magazines. Over the course of its 40-year existen- ce, the magazine enjoyed cooperation with, and contri- butions from, the most eminent Yugoslav and Serbian journalists, writers, publicists etc. The longest serving and most faithful among them were certainly celebrated wri- ters Momo Kapor and Milorad Pavić, who spent many ye- ars authoring exclusive stories and articles for the Review. Since August 2014 the inflight magazine has been publis- hed under the name Elevate. The magazine has been re- designed and leads a concept that allows it to comple- ment the innovative and progressive nature of Air Serbia, the country’s new national airline.
