ER SRBIJA SMANJUJE POTROŠNJU GORIVA I EMISIJU GASOVA / AIR SERBIA TO REDUCE FUEL CONSUMPTION AND GAS EMISSIONS NOVA EKOLOŠKA INICIJATIVA NACIONALNE AVIO-KOMPANIJE NEW ECOLOGICAL INITIATIVE OF THE NATIONAL AIRLINE
U OKVIRU AKTIVNOSTI KOJE SPROVODI SA ciljem za- štite životne sredine Er Srbija je implementirala mobilnu aplikaciju SkyBreathe programa za praćenje i kontrolu potrošnje goriva, namenjenu svom letačkom osoblju. Mobilna aplikacija pilotima Er Srbije pruža uvid u sve le- tove koje su obavili, uz mogućnost analize svake faze leta, poređenja odstupanja između realizacije i plana, kao i praćenja uspešnosti primene implementiranih ini- cijativa koje doprinose smanjenju emisije gasova. Pilo- tima je putem aplikacije dostupno i mnoštvo informa- cija koje pomažu u aktivnostima pre poletanja i nakon samog leta. – Briga o zaštiti životne sredine predstavlja neodvo- jiv deo našeg svakodnevnog poslovanja i zadovolj- ni smo jer inicijative koje pokrećemo daju rezultate. Tokom 2019. godine uspeli smo da smanjimo emisi- ju ugljen-dioksida za gotovo 3.000 tona. Naši piloti su najzaslužniji za smanjenje potrošnje goriva jer se proce- dure sa ovim ciljem uglavnom preduzimaju tokom sa- mog leta. Upotreba mobilne aplikacije dodatno će po- spešiti proces optimizacije i raduje nas svaki novi korak ka održivijoj budućnosti avio-industrije – izjavio je Dan- kan Nejsmit, generalni direktor Er Srbije . Prepoznajući brigu o budućnosti naše planete kao jed- nu od ključnih tema za celokupno društvo, Er Srbija od 2013. godine aktivno učestvuje u procesu EU ETS, ko- ji podrazumeva praćenje emisije ugljen-dioksida na te- ritoriji Evropske unije, a od 2019. i u Šemi za kompen- zaciju i smanjenje emisije ugljenika u međunarodnom vazduhoplovstvu (CORSIA) Međunarodne organizacije civilnog vazduhoplovstva.
UNDER THE SCOPE OF ACTIVITIES CARRIED out with the aim of protecting the environment, Air Serbia has im- plemented the SkyBreathe mobile application, a softwa- re program intended for flight crew to monitor and control fuel consumption. The SkyBreathe mobile app provides Air Serbia‘s pi- lots with insight into their entire personal flight history, wi- th the ability to analyse each stage of a flight, compare deviations between the implementation and the plan, as well as to monitor the successfulness of initiatives imple- mented to reduce emissions of harmful gases. The app al- so offers pilots a plethora of information that can help with their activities both before take-off and after a flight. “Care for the environment represents an insepara- ble part of our everyday operations and we are satisfied that the initiatives we‘ve launched are yielding results. We managed to reduce carbon-dioxide emissions by almost three thousand tons during 2019. Our pilots are the ma- in contributors to reducing our fuel consumption, becau- se the procedures for achieving this goal are generally un- dertaken during flights. The use of this mobile application will further enhance the optimisation process and we are looking forward to every new step towards a more susta- inable future for the airline industry,” said Air Serbia CEO Duncan Naysmith. Recognising the need to care for the future of our pla- net as one of the key topics for the entire society, Air Ser- bia has been participating actively in the EU ETS process since 2013, which includes the monitoring of carbon-dio- xide emissions on the territory of the EU, and also, since 2019, in the the International organisation CORSIA.
