If your son- in-law is a good Christian, pray that the Lord will lead him and his chil dren. There are a lot of things young er people do in this generation which are different from our ways. Even though they are Christians, we may feel that they made a mistake. It ill behooves us, however, to interfere with their home life, unless we are asked for counsel. Q. Could it be that they are the sons of men, and, as you say, the 'sons of God’ are the other line which has much mention throughout the Bible? Why would they be mentioned at all? Surely God would have a purpose in telling us about them.” A. God does not include, nor does He exclude, things from His Word haphazardly. He has both purpose and order. The Lord wants to show us from this passage how the fall of Adam leveled its way through the human family. It was only through the line of Seth that His Word was preserved. Connect Gen. 4:16 to the end of that chapter with Rev. 17 and 18. This is what started as city civilization. It has been the spawner of all kinds of evil and disobedience against God. In the book of Revela tion, however, God has His city to which all the redeemed are going. These names should be a warning to us concerning the dangers in turn ing away from the Lord. Q.
