(Rev. 19:11; Psa. 2:1-9; 96:13; Isa. 63:1-6; Dan. 7:13-14; Matt. 24:29- 30; Rev. 1:7-8). Christ will return with His glori ous church which shall judge and WHO ARE THE DELINQUENTS? We read in the papers, we hear on the air Of killings and stealing, and crime everywhere. We sigh and then we say, we notice the trend: "This young generation, where will it all end?" But can we be too sure it's their fault alone? May not a part of it be our very own? Too much money to spend; too much idle time, Too many vile movies of passion and crime. Too many evil books not fit to be read: Too much of the devil in what they hear said. Too many lone children encouraged to roam By too many parents who won't stay at home. Kids don't make the movies, they don't write the books That paint a gay picture of gangsters and crooks. They don't make the liquor, they don't run the bars, They don't make the laws, and they don't buy the cars. And they don't make the dopes that addle the brain; It's all done by old folks who're greedy for gain. And how many cases we find that it's true The label "delinquent" fits older folks, too! reign with Him (Col. 3 :4). He comes to establish His kingdom on earth and to subdue all His enemies. “For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet” (I Cor. 15: 25). The Lord will deal first with the
three great enemies: the beast (he is the false Christ), the false proph et, and Satan. “And the beast was taken, and with him the false proph et . . . these both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brim stone . . . and I saw an angel come down from heaven . . . and he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, and cast him into the bottomless p i t . . . ” (Rev. 19:20-20:3). Christ then will raise from the dead the Old Testament saints and the tribulation saints. “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years” (Rev. 20:6; see 20:4-6; Dan. 12:2-3; Luke 14:14; John 5:29). Some hold that the first resurrec tion includes the resurrection of Christ, the resurrection at the trans lation of the church, and this resur rection of the Old Testament and tribulation saints. The resurrections are set forth in their order, how ever, in I Corinthians 15:23-24; (1) “Christ the firstfruits” ; (2) “They that are Christ’s at His coming” ; this is “the resurrection of life” (John 5:29); (3) “The end,” that is, the last resurrection; this is “the resurrection of damnation” (John 5:29), taking place after the thou sand years. The Lord reigns for the thousand years. He gathers and judges the Jewish nation. He gives the prom ised land to the saved remnant of the nation. “In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safe ly: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, the Lord our right eousness” (Jer. 23:6; Isa. 10:20-22; 11:11-16; Ezek. 20:34-38; 36:24-38; Rom. 11:26). He judges all the Gentiles. “And before him shall be gathered all na tions : and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd 33
