Er Srbija u fokusu / Air Serbia close up

PITANJA ZA KAPETANA DEJANA ŠUŠIĆA THREE QUESTIONS FOR CAPTAIN DEJAN ŠUŠIĆ Koji avion vam je najdraži? Which is your favourite plane? - I used to like flying the ATR 72 the most, because the flights are short, dynamic and more demanding from the perspective of the pilot. Now I’m a captain on the Airbus A320. Which route do you like flying the most? - Tel Aviv is interesting to me and I like to fly there. Afterwards we also have a little more time between flights, so we can also go for a walk. And it’s well-known that all pilots love shopping, which is our escape from a busy schedule. Which runway has the toughest approach, and which is the most beautiful? - For us pilots, there are no difficult approaches, and I per- sonally prefer coastal airports, such as Dubrovnik, Tivat and Split.

NEW MONOGRAPH A single book isn’t much to record all the successes and fai- lures, challenges and achievements that have marked the in- credible years of civil aviation behind us. Following the mo- nograph “More than Flying”, authored by Čedomir Janić and Jovo Simišić, and published to commemorate the 80 th anni- versary of aviation, Air Serbia is releasing a new publicati- on - in honour of the first flight which departed from Bel- grade bound for Zagreb on 15 th February 1928 – that covers the most important events marking the previous 90 years. The book, “Conquering the world’s skies”, is illustrated by so- me never-before-seen photographs and, in a luxurious bin- ding containing just under 200 pages, covers nine decades of flight in this region. Following in the footsteps of its cele- brated predecessors, Air Serbia continues to post milestones for the record books that have historic significance, awaiting the celebration of its next great anniversary and striding proudly towards its centenary.
