In Berlin the past lives on every turn. But the present is also fantastic! For- get New York, the phrase about“the city that never sleeps”now refers to Berlin, to its many basement nightclubs, temples of industrial music, beer-houses, fancy coffee shops, cabaret performances, symphonies... all of which are happening 24/7. Berlin is also a cultural trendsetter, a multicultural metropolis and, despite being a big city, so compactly and finely “packaged” that everyone can find their way easily.
