8 TH MARCH

I Er Srbija ponosno korača putem toliko željene ravnopravnosti. Pripadnice ženskog pola čine gotovo 49 odsto ukupnog broja zaposlenih u okviru Er Srbije , Er Srbija keteringa i Er Srbija graund servisa , uz veliki procenat dama u menadžmentu. Poleteo i ušao u istoriju.

WISHING AIR SERBIA’S FIRST FULLY FEMALE CREW A HAPPY WOMEN’S DAY

The idea of celebrating International Women’s Day first emerged in the early 20 th century, during a time of rapid industrialisation and economic expansion that often prompted protests over poor working conditions. Women employed in the clothing and textiles industry publicly demonstrated on 8 th March 1857 in New York, but it was only in 1975 – a year declared as the International Year of Women – that the United Nations officially began commemorating International Women’s Day. And Air Serbia proudly walks the path of much- desired gender equality. Females comprise almost 49 per cent of all employees within the scope of Air Serbia, Air Serbia Catering and Air Serbia Ground Service, with a large percentage of ladies in management positions. However, perhaps the most beautiful indicator of the situation in the national airline will remain inscribed in the important calendar of the year 2017. On 9 th May, precisely at 17.05 , an Air Serbia plane with a fully female crew departed from the airport in Belgrade. It took to the skies and went down in history. This special flight set out from Belgrade bound for Paris, with captain Vesna Aleksić and co-pilot Mirjana Stojilković at the helm. Taking care of guests was also a team consisting of cabin senior Mirjana Popović and flight attendants Silvija Madić, Elena Ljubojević and Tanja Stanković. The plane with the beautiful crew is yet more proof that Air Serbia strongly supports the principle of equal opportunities, and we wish them all a happy Women’s Day.
