L ik žene i njena figura sme- štena u mediteranski milje ključni su motiv na slikama Željka Đurovića. T he image of a woman’s face and her figure, placed in a Mediterranean milieu, is a key theme in the pic- tures of Željko Đurović. Everything else, he says, remains on the surface for him. - When I draw with a foun- tain pen, whose tip is a piece of paper, and when the black liquid pours into that furrow, I associate all of this with an act of love. Even today, when I have dark foreboding, when I wonder if my imagination has abandoned me, I return to the sketching, which elevates me and compels me to move for- ward. Sketches and sketching is for me an exalted act. I attribute to sketching the importance of superior creation. When painting for many years, a serious painter must
na mojim slikama, sna- žan kolorit, gde svaka bo- ja poseduje svoju izvor- nu vrednost, fantastika likovnog oblikovana u izmaštanom svetu, gde sve bukti od erotizovanih formi, glavni su elementi po kojima me cene i pre- poznaju na evropskoj li- kovnoj sceni. Često me stavljaju i u likovne knji- ge i na internet adrese – kaže Đurović. Crtež mu je utočište. Odmah se zaljubio u pe- ro i tuš. Sve drugo, kaže, ostaje mu na površini. – Kad crtam perom, čiji vrh para papir, i kad se u tu brazdu sliva crna tečnost, sve me to asoci- ra na ljubavni čin. I da- nas kad imam crne slut- nje, pitajući se da li me imaginacija napušta, vra- tim se crtežu, koji me po- digne i tera da idem na- pred. Crtež i crtanje je za mene uzvišen čin.
