tle”regardless of how many days they stay in Prague. The Czechs have even taken care of that, so an obligatory visit to the muse- um dedicated to one of the most important Jewish writers of the 20th century will represent one of the most important recollec- tions that you will take away from this city. Nearby is one of the most beautiful banks of the River Vltava, where you will be able to feed a flock of swans and enjoy in silence one of the magical views of the Charles Bridge and the city fading in the distance. You certainly shouldn’t overlook the Warhol Museum (where you will be able to create for yourself a little work of art in the same way that Andy mechanically produced his canvases), and on the lower floor you will find one of the most complete exhibi- tions of Mucha’s paintings. While from other cities you take home souvenirs showing famous buildings, whether it’s the Eiffel Tower or Brandenburg Gate, you will probably be reminded of Prague by“Art Nouveau”cups, plates, dishes or jewellery with floral mo- tifs of Mucha’s girls with flowing hair and translucent dresses. The unrivalled main attraction is the Astronomical Clock, which you will want to find yourself beside at least twice. First at any time during any hour of the day, then for a second time precisely at noon, because the one-minute dance of the twelve apostles who emerge from the tower that houses this clock will be one of those unforgettable scenes that you will carry for the rest of your life. You also shouldn’t miss out on the famous Dancing House, which is a genuine little wonder of modern architecture, or the wall dedicated to John Lennon, on which you can also leave a written record in the glory of freedom, peace and love – all the things that this musician promoted. Perhaps man’s greatest misfortune is that he lives only once, and thus this life cannot be compared with others and correct- ed in some future life, as Milan Kundera claimed, but the good fortune in all of this is that in the first or any upcoming life we can go to Prague and always find it completely the same, yet al- so ready for some new, different and unrepeatable stories.
Hundreds of towers, buildings that dance and the unbearable Stotine tornjeva, zgrada koja pleše i nepodnošljiva lakoća Praga
