E urope has more electric cars than ever, and they are the clear direc- tion in which the entire automo- bile industry is heading. These ve- hicles are no longer reserved for the future, as proven by the fact there are now 1.8 million of them registered worldwide, with the majority in Europe, where the num- ber of registered e-vehicles is approach- ing 600,000. Electric cars are increasing- ly travelling along European roads, and their owners can now add Serbia on their travel map, because they can now “refu- el” their vehicles in our country. There are currently around twenty functional electric chargers for e-vehi- cles in Serbia, half of which are located in Belgrade, as a place where tourists most commonly stay. Three chargers with two charge points are located in the public car park in Obilićev Venac Garage, two charg- ers with three charge points are located within the BMW dealership, another is at the Volkswagen dealership, and the re- maining chargers are distributed within the premises of companies like Ikea, So- ciete Generale Bank, ABB and Cefor, as well as a couple of chargers in Belgrade’s top hotels. Of course, chargers can now also be found in certain locations along the trans- port corridors that run through Serbia. All of them are 22kW AC power chargers, with so-called “Type 2” standard connections, as used elsewhere in Europe. Apart from these, there are also special chargers for Te- sla brand vehicles that come with a stand- ard American connection. Here we are talk- ing only about a difference in connectors, as almost all electric cars have the same battery voltages and the ability to charge using AC and DC chargers. Another important fact is that charg- ing electric vehicles in Serbia is currently free.In a public garage, for example, peo- ple pay only for there parking ticket, and charging their electric car remains free. And finally, it is important for the development of e-vehicle charging station infrastructure that information on chargers is included, i.e. where they are located, whether they are currently occupied and other similar service data. You can check out the map of active e-vehicle chargers in Serbia and Belgrade via the website elektropunjaci.com or via the ‘PlugShare’ mobile app.

Na aplikaciji svaki korisnik punjača za e-vozilo u Srbiji unapred može da zna gde je punjač i da li je slobodan The app allows every e-vehicle charger user in Serbia to know in advance where the chargers are located and whether they’re currently available priključkom američkog standarda.
