Žan Nuvel projektovao je orga- nak Luvra inspirisan arhitekturom i tradicijom Ujedinjenih Arapskih Emi- rata. Muzej je smešten ispod prepo- znatljive kupole sa šarom izrađenom od gotovo 8.000 zvezda ponovljenih u različitim veličinama i uglovima u osam odvojenih slojeva, zbog čega li- či na čipku. „Kiša svetlosti“ nastaje filtriranjem sunčevih zraka kroz ku- polu, što podseća na neprestano sme- njivanje senki i svetla u Emiratima. Ogranak Gugenhajma takođe je impresivna futuristička vizija geni- jalnog arhitekte Frenka Gerija, koja pomera granice u arhitekturi na više od 30.000 kvadrata. Vlada Ujedinje- nih Arapskih Emirata će, zahvaljuju- ći Nacionalnom muzeju Zajed, traj- no ucrtati svoju zemlju na kulturnu mapu sveta.

The island’s Ma- narat Al Saadiyat Exhibition Centre currently has its own art program- mes throughout the year, but here art lovers will soon be able to unco- ver connections between different cultures. On the one side, they will have an overview of the best creati- ons of mankind since ancient times at the Louvre, while on the other si- de they will celebrate the art of the world from the 1960s to the present day at the Guggenheim. Jean Nouvel designed the bran- ch of the Louvre and drew inspira- tion from the architecture and tra- dition of the United Arab Emirates. The museum is located beneath a unique dome with a pattern made
of nearly 8,000 stars repeated in di- fferent sizes and angles in eight se- parate layers, causing it to look li- ke it is made of lace. The “Rain of Light” emerges due to the filtering of the sun’s rays through the dome, which is reminiscent of the endle- ss succession of shadow and light in the Emirates. The branch of the Guggenheim is also an impressive futuristic vision of ingenious architect Frank Gehry, who pushes the boundaries of archi- tecture on an area of more than thirty thousand square metres. Along wi- th the Zayed National Museum, the government of the United Arab Emi- rates will indelibly mark its country on the cultural map of the world.
