SCOTTISH SOJOURN HITS A HIGH NOTE

T his opportunity, presented by the Faculty of Culture, Creative, and Performing Arts , took him to this renowned institute that is one of the world’s top ten performing art schools. Upon receiving an email about the scholarship, Dominic applied without a second thought, following his dream with courage and determination. To his delight, within a few weeks, he received confirmation that he had been selected to attend the workshop. Reflecting on the experience, Dominic described the workshop as “enlightening,” emphasising the impact of the high-calibre teaching he received. “It was a very eye-opening experience because of the level of teaching up there. It was very inspirational because the teachers treated me as an individual, not so much as

Dominic Serrao’s life has been a symphony of music, composed of different movements that reflected his passions and aspirations. As a second- year student pursuing a BA in Music with Education at Cave Hill Campus, Dominic’s musical journey reached a crescendo when he secured a full scholarship to attend a prestigious three-day piano workshop at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow.

Despite the brevity of the workshop, he is grateful for the wealth of knowledge imparted to him by the renowned instructors. When asked about the potential impact of this workshop experience on his studies and future career, he shared, “For the course of study, my grades for performance courses would hopefully be higher, and then professionally, because of a higher knowledge of performing, I can transfer that information to my students which would help them.” Dominic’s musical journey began at
