I n 2020, at age16 and faced with the challenges posed by school closures in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jasmine embarked on a mission to bridge the educational gap by founding an online learning platform named Private Caribbean Study Goals (PCSG) , based on a peer-to-peer tuition model for Caribbean students. What started as a response to the immediate needs of Jasmine Greene are reshaping the future.
her peers has now evolved into a regional online learning academy, promising to be a global educational enterprise. “The PCSG platform allows students to share their educational goals and struggles with their fellow Caribbean classmates and study buddies. In addition, it not only seeks to help students prepare for exams but also fosters a sense of community and shared learning goals,” Jasmine explained. Her dedication caught the attention of the tech world when, in 2022, she emerged victorious in the Firehood Angels’ international women-in-tech Pitch on the Beach Event in Barbados.
With a $25,000 prize, she set her sights on enhancing PCSG’s capabilities and addressing the limitations imposed by the Zoom model. “With the prize money, we were able to invest in unlimited Zoom to not only facilitate our class demands but to invest in other future plans of PCSG,” shared Jasmine.
