ACADEMIC SESSION
Creative Writing & Art Therapy
Combining art and educational therapy techniques, this new course will emphasize the development of writing skills with inspiration drawn from creative art projects. Essential writing structure and sentence development will be practiced. Each session will begin with an art activity drawn from the principles of art therapy, for example, projects meant to elicit emotions, promote relaxation, and incite creative thinking. Writing assignments will be based on discoveries drawn from the art activity. Students may choose to sign up for one week (5 sessions) or both weeks (10 sessions).
