A s we celebrate 40 years of Precious Moments, we can’t help but appreciate the different stages of building such a lasting legacy. Much like an enduring love story, the first decade is spent growing with love, discovering who you are, both individually and together. During this special time, we learn so much about each other – not only likes and dislikes, but what made us who we are. We hear about family traditions for the first time, learn about our broken hearts, and find out what truly makes us happy. We also find out how to solve differences, how to be respectful of one another, and that anything this wonderful is worth fighting for. During these years of discovery, things are exciting and even after a few years, a new childhood memory will pop up to be shared or an old family recipe might be made for the first time. Yes, we believe the first ten years of any lasting relationship sets the foundation for what is to come. In much the same way, the first ten years of Precious Moments set a strong foundation for the future. That first decade saw the dawn of not only a remarkable collection, but also the Precious Moments Collectors’ Club, countless Local Club Chapters across the country, and the beginning of construction of the Precious Moments Chapel in Carthage, MO. It was quite the whirlwind romance! As we are celebrating, we can’t help but see the correlation between Precious Moments’ story and YOUR stories of love and longevity. This is why we are inviting you to share your story about how your relationship grew. Whether you are spouses or best friends, whether you have been together one year or 50, every relationship has gone through this “growing” stage. So, please, tell us: How did you meet?
