70–72 °F (21–22 °C) for the first three weeks.

Begin fertilization at 75 ppm N when roots become visible. Rates can be increased up to 100 ppm N after roots become well developed.

YOUNG PLANT COMMENTS

5–6 weeks

68–70 °F (20–21 °C) for the first three weeks. After roots are well developed, temperatures can be lowered to 64–68 °F (18–20 °C) to hold and tone the cuttings.

Begin fertilization at 80 ppm N when roots become visible. Rates can be increased up to 150 ppm N after roots become well developed.

Pinching is recommended in prop 7–10 days prior to transplant leaving 4–6 nodes.

First Year Flowering A cold treatment for 7–8 weeks at 50 °F (10 °C) ADT is recommended to increase flowering uniformity; if providing cold treatment bump up to larger cell size.

The use of tents during propagation to avoid over misting has also been found to be beneficial. If needed, a spray of B-Nine ® WSG at 500–1,500 ppm can be applied.

Cold Required

45–50 °F (7–10 °C); keep fertility on the low side to avoid excess soft growth, decreasing chance of disease pressures.
