Spring has now drawn to a close, but not before leaving us with its wild and unpredictable weather. Thunderstorms, bursts of heat, and heavy downpours kept us on our toes and even claimed
one of our trees in the car park. Weather and Seasonal Highlights
• Unpredictable spring storms and rain showers • A fallen tree reminding us of nature’s power • Residents making the most of the sunshine between showers Community and Care On 1st November, the new aged care standards came into effect, bringing an increased focus on collaboration of care with residents and their families. This marks an important step forward in ensuring that everyone’s voice is heard and valued in the care journey. Gardening Club Our dedicated gardening club has been hard at work, transforming what was once a sad garden into a vibrant display of colour. Their efforts have brought joy and beauty to our outdoor spaces, making springtime strolls even more delightful. Celebrations We celebrated the Melbourne Cup in style, with residents donning beautiful fascinators, enjoying delicious food, and raising a glass of champagne together. It was a day filled with laughter, fashion, and community spirit. Looking Ahead to Summer With spring behind us, we now look forward to summer. Hot breezes will remind us to stay hydrated, and the season will be filled with festivities:
• Christmas • New Year • Australia Day It promises to be a busy and joyful time for all. A Seasonal Message
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our residents and their families a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. Until our next edition, Bronwyn, Facility Manager
