Community Happenings Spring

Gardens That Flourished The transformation of the outdoor spaces this spring tells its own story. The gardeners worked steadily throughout the season, nurturing seedlings into flourishing plants that now fill the Manor with colour and life. The chilli plants that showed such promise in early October delivered on their potential. In late September, residents came together to paint decorative pots, and by the end of the month those same pots had been filled with spring blooms. The planting days brought many hands together, making light work of the tasks at hand. Kathleen found particular joy in the rear garden throughout the season, spending considerable time watching the space evolve. The before and after photos from September to November reveal what steady attention and care can achieve over just three months. Cultural Celebrations and Special Events Melbourne Cup Day 2025 stands as one of the season’s most memorable celebrations. The lifestyle team orchestrated a fantastic day complete with a red carpet for participants, handcrafted fascinators that residents had spent the previous week creating, and a decidedly dodgy bookmaker who added just the right amount of mischief to the proceedings. The catering team ensured the celebration felt appropriately festive, with everyone embracing the spirit of the day. October’s Oktoberfest happy hour brought a taste of German hospitality to the Manor, with the lifestyle team embracing the theme wholeheartedly. Jemma, Jo, Grahame and Nat dressed for the occasion, creating an atmosphere where “Prost!” rang out throughout the afternoon.
