This event will introduce the audience to the study of paleography and teach them to identify four styles of ancient Roman handwriting they can recognize in person if they ever visit Italy. Dr. Kim will give a brief overview of the origin of the Roman alphabet, historical changes in its presentation, and its eventual development into the alphabet we still use today.
