Harrie lives in Tucson, Arizona where she was born. She earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Arizona with an emphasis on art education and photography. After graduation,

The Drawing Studio is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, creative learning organization that brings art and the benefits of creating art to the entire community. The Drawing Studio offers affordable fee-based and free classes and workshops, hosts events and exhibits, and fosters awareness of the positive effects of creativity on individuals. The mission is to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to embrace art practice as a pathway to person growth and healthy community. PCOA and The Drawing Studio proudly partner to feature original work by older artists in Pima County in Never Too Late , celebrating and showcasing the creativity of older adults in our community.

Harrie taught high school and middle school photography for twenty-eigth years in T.U.S.D. After retirement, she continued painting in oil and then took up acrylic painting, studying abstract art at The Drawing Studio. She has received National and International awards, had her work published in art magazines, had several solo shows (most recently at TUS Center Gallery) and has been invited to major cities in Europe to display her art work in Art Exhibition Fairs. Harrie is a member of the Contemporary Artist
