Recreation District #1 Adds FREE Sunscreen Kiosks to Promote Sun Safety

Recreation District #1 is helping visitors enjoy the outdoors while staying sun-safe. Throughout the park, educational signage from the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) shares practical tips for protecting skin year-round. To make sun protection even easier, free sunscreen kiosks have been installed at the Pickleball Courts and the Red Complex. These convenient stations allow visitors to apply sunscreen while enjoying outdoor activities. The initiative is open to community support, and new sponsors are welcome to help place additional kiosks in high-traffic areas. For sponsorship information, contact the front office at (985) 626-7997. Pelican Park is excited to announce that we are now proudly serving PJ’s Coffee at several of our facilities! Guests can enjoy a refreshing selection of beverages including regular and iced coffee, tea, and lemonade. You’ll find PJ’s Coffee available at the White and Brown Gyms, as well as at the Red, Orange, and Gold Field Concessions. Stop by, grab a drink, and fuel up for your day at the Park!
