Welcome Letter Welcome to Milan for our 24th annual production sale! One year ago we held our first auction in our new sale facil- ity at the farm and in November we gathered there again for our first ever fall sale for our customers who need age advantaged bulls for use in their fall breeding programs. Thanks to our customers for making our Spring 2025 sale the best we have ever held and our new Fall 2025 sale with a much smaller offering maintained very similar values for Brinkley Angus genetics to make it a great year for our family. The year of 2025 had a long list of “firsts” for the Brinkley family with the Spring 2025 sale also being the VERY FIRST time that Brinkley customers purchased Brinkley genetics using calf credits that were earned by the high quality grades of progeny of B A R bulls that were sold to the Ruth Family Farms Premium Black Angus Beef Ranch to Table program! This integrated production chain to produce high-quality end product from the bulls that you buy from us is NO LONGER a DREAM – it is NOW a REALITY as Brinkley Angus Ranch and Ruth Family Farm have provided calf credit towards the purchase of future Brinkley Angus genetics of $25 per calf credit for EVERY calf sired by a Brinkley bull sold as a USDA Graded Certified Angus Beef carcass and $50 per calf credit for EVERY calf sold as a USDA Prime carcass. In November of 2025, we were honored when Jim was elected by his peers as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and President of the American Angus Association. It is both a serious responsibility and an honor that we take very seriously and we could not be more grateful to our family, extended family and our dedicated Brinkley Angus Ranch team for the extra time they are giving to our program to make the time available for Jim to fulfill the duties that we have taken on. Just a week after that happened, we hosted our very successful first fall sale here in the new sale barn in addition to Jim’s second knee replacement surgery. The “firsts” appear to be continuing into 2026 as the exciting herd sire prospect featured as Lot 1 records the NUMBER 1 Marbling score EPD EVER produced or offered for sale from our program! This sale offering includes 35 head that rank in the top 10% designed to make dramatic “one generation change” in the marbling score of a calf crop for this EPD prediction that has the LARGEST IMPACT upon qualification for the Brinkley-Ruth Sale Credits that reward progeny of Brinkley sires that achieve USDA Grades of Prime and Certified Angus Beef. There are 145 head (89% of the offering) that rank BETTER THAN BREED AVERAGE for Marbling score EPD.
The two HIGHEST $Combined value bulls EVER produced in our program that sell as Lots 2 & 3 headline the seven head that rank top 1% and 47 that rank in the top 10% for that multi-trait bio-economic index that combines both genetic and real-world profit potential. Our relationship with Jerry and Sharon Connealy and their family has been rewarding on a personal level and inte- gral to our continued success with our ranch enterprise. As you turn the pages, you will see 29 sons of the $500,000 record setting Connealy Craftsman whose maternal sister is a donor for us with a son of her that sells. Both our crew and our customers like the 25 sons of the $185,000 “Peoples’ Choice” Connealy Commerce who we tried with Missouri friends and neighbors to purchase, but we had to settle for acquiring his dam as a cornerstone donor. This sale also offers the first sons of her son Connealy Aggregate that we own with Alan Mead. The 10 sons of the promising Connealy Global that we own with Connealy Angus are headlined by the TOP TWO $Combined value index bulls EVER from our program and there are eight sons of the $60,000 Connealy Vindicate who sired a $130,000 Connealy top seller from his first calf crop and eight sons of our partnership herd sire Connealy Statement, a top calving ease son of KCF Bennett Summation. We are very proud of the 23 sons of our $140,000 two thirds interest record setting B A R Dynamic with two sons by his full brother. Nine sons of the $37,000 two thirds interest top seller B A R Forge 0792-814X are joined by eight sons of the $30,000 two thirds interest top seller Brinkley Prosperity.Seeing the sires that we have produced contribute to our herd is very encour- aging. You will like the five exciting November herd sire prospects by the $235,000 Rito Ambitious whose first calf crop has been setting breed records and the four sons of the $400,000 valued marbling cornerstone EXAR Cover the Bases include Lot 1 who records the NUMBER 1 Marbling score EPD EVER produced in our program. Sons of Cover the Bases topped our Fall 2025 sale and you will like also the future young donors we are sharing that are sired by these two monumental herd sires owned by our good friend Dr. Barry Pollard. With the ongoing reduction of national beef cow herd numbers, we recognize that the emphasis on growth and carcass quality will continue to intensify as the industry produces and feeds less cattle to heavier weights with more demand for USDA Prime product than anyone could have dreamed of just a few years ago. That is why the focus of the bulls selling in this sale and the future will continue to be high growth, superior marbling genetics combined with the genetics to sire fertile and productive replacement daughters. Our grandchildren continue to give us great joy and since her retirement to the farm, Sherry has been able to spend more time with all the grandchildren and the operations of our enterprises. With the rich heritage and history of Sherry’s father and his involvement in the Kansas City Stockyards, moving from a Livestock Market Auction facility to the farm was not a decision made lightly or without years of discussion and deliberation.
