EWF CORPORATE AWARD
PepsiCo is a global leader in convenient foods and beverages, including many iconic brands. When a woman comes to work for PepsiCo, she is joining an organization that champions women and believes Diversity, Equity &
Inclusion is a competitive business advantage that fuels innovation, strengthens its reputation, and fosters engagement. The company’s global community for women in cybersecurity – Shecurity – launched in 2020 and drives the Global IT mission to attract, retain and develop women in Information Security through education, leadership, and the creation of trusted relationships. Its membership has more than quadrupled in two years and provides opportunities for women to connect personally and professionally, to share knowledge, and to learn about emerging cybersecurity technologies. The Shecurity group is active in many community-outreach programs, including EWF’s Cybersecurity School Challenge, which makes being at PepsiCo a dynamic and fulfilling place to be, both inside and outside of the workspace. The group led a cybersecurity workshop at the Women in Tech Virtual Summit in Warsaw and also spotlighted three women in cybersecurity who were advancing their careers at our Poland technology hub. They participate in Southern Dallas Thrives, managing cybersecurity awareness and career panels, sponsoring summer intern programs, and explaining cybersecurity fundamentals to high school students who typically lack this opportunity. Shecurity has also partnered with Per Scholas Dallas, a non-profit that provides tuition-free technology training to unemployed or underemployed individuals, to provide resume reviews and host a career event. More broadly, PepsiCo participates in 10 chapters of Million Women Mentors, pledging more than 23,000 volunteer hours since 2014. MWM connects STEM career professionals with women who aspire to STEM careers – and PepsiCo has nearly 700 active mentoring relationships.
