Promise Law August 2019

Big Changes Bring New Opportunities A New Partner and a New Space

Perhaps more than any other time of year, the transition from late summer to early fall is the most visible and palpable. The weather gets slightly less muggy, days slowly grow shorter, leaves gradually change color, and the

Since a relatively small community of attorneys practice elder law, I’ve known Rob and respected his work for many years. In fact, when some of my own family members needed help with their estate planning and I felt like I couldn’t take on their case, I referred them to Rob because I know he approaches his work in the same way I do, and I trusted that he would take care of them. Because I’ve admired Rob’s work for years, when he shared that his partner at Miller, Walsh & Kutz, Mike Walsh, had decided to retire after many successful and happy years of working with Rob, I wondered in which direction Rob would next venture. Fortunately, it was through our office’s front doors to join forces with our team! As Promise Law’s new partner, Rob will bring along three amazing, hardworking, experienced, and motivated support staff members. While we are beyond excited to have a few extra hands to help out, we’ve realized that with these fantastic new additions, we need a bigger office space. Fortunately, we found an easy solution: Bring Promise Law to Rob! Rob’s spacious office is located in a professional office park in Newport News. With handicapped-accessible parking just outside the front door, wide hallways and doors, and a handicapped-accessible bathroom, we are well equipped to accommodate our clients who use wheelchairs or have other mobility concerns. We’ll also have enough room for our growing team, more space to meet with Promise Law’s existing clients, and continuity for Rob’s existing clients during this transition. All in all, it’s an easier and more navigable space dedicated to the work we do, and we can’t wait to officially start working there on Sept. 1.

morning mist hangs slightly lower. People, like seasons, are not meant to be static. I believe we are at our best when we are open to new ideas, flexible to life’s opportunities, and willing to leave our comfort zones, which is why this month, I have some exciting changes to announce. All of us here at Promise Law are excited to introduce Rob Kutz, our new partner! Rob is well known and highly regarded in the estate planning and elder law legal community because of his excellence as an attorney, his work ethic, and his sterling character. Throughout his career, Rob has been frequently appointed by the court to help in the most challenging estate administration cases due to his ability to bring effective and efficient resolutions to complicated matters.

Clearly, we have a lot of great changes coming up this month, and, while big transitions like these require planning and foresight, I know I speak for my whole team when I say how remarkable it is to have a roomy office filled with spectacular new team members whom we already trust. If you have any questions about our upcoming plans, please don’t hesitate to let us know. Otherwise, join us in welcoming Rob and his support team to Promise Law!
