SciGirls Celebrates SPACE SCIENCE
It’s out of this world! SciGirls is launching new episodes that are all about SPACE SCIENCE! Episodes premiere online at tpt.org/SciGirls and will be broadcast on Fridays at 12:30 p.m. beginning February 3 on TPT 2. SciGirls is an Emmy Award-winning PBS television series that explores, encourages, and educates all children around science, technology, engineering and math, or STEM. Produced by TPT, season six is funded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). It will be shared with public television stations for broadcast nationwide and be available at youtube.com/SciGirlsTV . Two brand new episodes were filmed right here in Minnesota. “Dakota Stars” was filmed in partnership with Native
Skywatchers, We Are Still Here Minnesota, and girls from local Indigenous tribes, and teaches how Indigenous astronomy aligns with Western science. “Making Space,” was filmed in partnership with The Bell Museum and Planetarium, and focuses on long-duration space missions.
